DYAM Raja Dihilir Perak Graces Visit To Segari Turtle Conservation And Information Centre Programme.
MANJUNG, 15 July 2023 – DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah graced the Visit to Segari Turtle Conservation and Information Centre Programme here.
DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak arrival was welcomed by Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Jeneral Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Bersara), State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and State Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture and Food Industry Committee chairman Dato’ Mohd Zolkafly Harun.
After the photo session with the invited dignitaries, DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak was given a briefing on the species and statistics of turtles in Perak by Deputy Director-General of Fisheries (Development) Dato’ Azahari Othman.
After that, DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak was taken to the hawksbill turtle pond, green sea turtle pond, turtle nursery and the static exhibition gallery for a tour session.

Before ending the tour, DYAM Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah took the opportunity to perform a turtle nest inspection, the planting of an Ambung-Ambung tree and releasing of turtles.
The Segari Turtle Conservation and Information Centre is one of the tourist attractions in Perak.
The centre, located near Pasir Panjang beach, is a strategic location for turtles to lay their eggs, as well as being a destination for tourists to enhance their knowledge on the process of turtle preservation and conservation.
